The Story So Far
Queens Coast Trading Company was founded in 2020 in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, on the shores of the province's sparkling hidden gem - the South Shore.

The founder of the company, Zenia Horton owned and operated an award-winning kitchen design firm, Zen Design, for over 25 years in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario.
Zenia has established herself once again as a sought-after kitchen designer now on the South Shore, working with established cabinet companies and contractors she knows and trusts to create custom kitchens and unique spaces. She also continues to remotely serve the southern Ontario region in collaboration with her established partners.
The intimate nature of working with clients on their kitchen transformations led to the creation of an organic loose leaf tea business in 2014. XTEA Co. soon became a successful tea company serving clients, restaurants, and community organizations. The company was nominated for Small Business of the Year in 2015 and presented with a Community Engagement Award by Kitchener Waterloo's Business Improvement Association in 2016.
Zenia is excited to now bring her premium artisan teas to the South Shore, adding them to Queens Coast Trading Company's portfolio.
Zenia has immersed herself into Queens County as a member of South Queens Chamber of Commerce, Queens County Historical Society, Queens County Museum, and Region of Queens Planning Advisory Committee. These opportunities to be actively engaged in the South Shore community are a blessing.
